Sand Molding Machine
It is key forming equipment in foundries for manufacturing sand moulds. Loose foundry sand is filled into flasks and compacted by squeezing, jolt-squeezing or sand shooting. After removing the pattern, a sand mould with the cavity for castings is formed. Molten metal is poured into the cavity, and castings are obtained after cooling.
It is widely used to produce castings of cast iron, cast steel and non-ferrous metals, such as ductile iron manhole covers.
Common types include jolt-squeeze molding machines and shoot-squeeze molding machines.
